To lose 1 pound, you need an expenditure of approximately three thousand five hundred calories. You can achieve this either by cutting back on your food intake, by increasing physical activity, or ideally, by doing both. Losing weight isn’t rocket science anyone can do it. Of course providing there isn’t a medical reason you can’t.

 In order to give you a rough example. Picture this if you consume five hundred additional calories per day for one-week time span. This is without changing your activity level, you will generally gain one pound in weight. If you project this out for seven days multiplied by five hundred calories equals three thousand five hundred calories, or the number of calories resulting in a one pound weight gain. On the other side of the coin if you eat five hundred fewer calories each day for a week and or burn five hundred calories per day through exercise for one week, you will lose one pound. See it’s all in the numbers. There is a formula for weight loss.

 The important thing is to promise yourself you will walk one minute a day every day. Keep in mind that most people are terrified about walking thirty minutes if you keep the goal low and simple to accomplish you are more likely to stay with it. In addition, if you are out there walking for a minute chances are good that you will walk for longer. It’s like a ball in motion tends to stay in motion until acted on by and outside force. If you promise to do that then you will be well on your way.

Starvation Diets

I have heard of several people going on a starvation diet. This is very risky to undertake. Even if you could do it, the weight you lose won’t stay off. Our bodies are built to consume food at least three times a day. This is why we have meals spread out the way we do. Skipping breakfast is a horrible thing to do and so is just drinking water. Crash diets are called crash because of what happens to you when you get off them.  

Every system in your body needs nutrients if you don’t eat then you are starving your systems. Your blood sugar begins to dive the lower it goes the worse it can get for you. You could go into a comma if it gets too low. You get light headed and you can get very dizzy. Research support that if your brain doesn’t get what it needs it starts to slow down and your cognitive skills drop sharply. Leading you to make some rotten decisions. The weight that you lose that isn’t water. Can easily be bone and tissue also muscles. Fat doesn’t get burnt during this fasting.

 Not only that but your body goes into starvation mode. Taking what little that comes into your system and turning it into storage. You know more fat cells.

Easy Ways To Lose Weight

 Everyone seems to want to lose weight. This got me to thinking about how in the world you can lose weight and it reminded me of this story. Yeah sorry I am going to write the story right here for everyone to read why because this is my blog and I can if I want to do this.

 My brother and his buddy use to always go find cars and try to take them apart to fix them. Once my brother bought a Chevy Luv pickup truck. You know the ones that are the smallest of the pickup truck family. He paid four hundred dollars for it nice price right. That’s what you think the truck did not run he had to drag it home. On the way home one of the wheels fell off, hold on it gets worse.  The truck had no battery and the gas tank was a gallon jug. Not that it used gas remember it didn’t run at all.

 My brother and his buddies worked night and day on that jalopy for about two months. Then came the faithful day the truck was suppose to crank and go around the block. Well they attempted to start it and it would not crank for anything. They were all under the hood checking everything and all was fine. I walked outside and I am definitely not a mechanic but I walked over and turned the gas cap. I told them it might be vapor locked and they laughed and laughed at me. Guess what it was vapor locked and the truck cranked and ran around the block.

 When trying to lose weight we sometimes over look the most obvious, get your sleep.
